Brand Design projects

STRATEGY
In a branding project, I like to start with a concise analysis: where does the brand stand and where does it ultimately want to go? What is or will be the positioning? Last but not least, then we determine what steps to take and scoping the project.

DIRECTION
From the positioning and brand interpretation, we develop a Creative Direction. This direction determines the interpretation of the Art and Design Direction of the brand (visual manifesto), and planning the project more in detail.

DESIGN
Once the direction is clear, we move on to the actual design interpretation. We translate the brand design into the various multi-media items and plan/work on the implementation of the project.

PROJECT MANAGING
Is for me the key to a project’s success. I’m not just talking about the “visual” end result. I’m also talking about what remains as an experience during and after the process itself. Was the process educational, enjoyable, and fun to work on? Good project management is the lubricant that ensures that the entire process runs smoothly. 

Artificial Intelligence

AI APPLICATIONS
I use it as a tool that can be useful for accelerating the visualization of a design, and explanation of concepts and projects. However, developing good ideas remains a human task. To be able to give something a slightly different twist, talking about fingerspitzengefuhl, a certain amount of experience and intuition is needed. That’s where I can still make a difference…

PRINT MATTER AND LAYOUT DESIGN
Print design, grid systems, and type setting for print becoming more and more design skills that are becoming increasingly rare. I happen to have had years of training in these skills, have worked with them, and enjoy applying them.
